Baryonyx walkeri; opted for a more robust morph rather then a gracile build for this illustration. The majority of this species is known only through partial skeletal remains though fish being part of its diet can be speculated with some certainty as fossilized fish scales have been found with said remains. The crest above its orbits may have only functioned for display and possibly be indicative of sexual dimorphism within the species...

The subject for this week was a monster thing in an odd situation or place. First thing that came out my ass was a giant squid atop the empire state building, dont know why or how he got up there though....

Well been slowly but surely getting back into doing art again. Been in a slump for the majority of this year but with the coming new year I figure now is a good a time as any to try and get my act together again. Ive almost forgotten myself and how much I enjoyed art though I have dabbled every so often this year but early on it lost much of its allure and seemed trite. Ive just been going through the motions acting as if I still cared for it but now Im starting to have that drive and motivation again....need to get better. So here is something I am working on currently that sparked that old feeling again. Its an illustration of an Ouranosaurus; will have the finished peice up on my deviantart page by the weekend.

I dont know what this thing is but im very intrigued. Done some digging around and got a couple of ideas on what it is. Could be a group of annelid worms or tubifex worms but not for sure. Would really like to know exactly what it is.

Done for the CGtalk daily sketch forum. Took longer then expected on this, about an hour. The theme was "Clash of Gods" with a 45 minute time limit. I did manage to get the general composition in grayscale well before the time limit but wanted to splash some color in it; which is what took a good amount of time....was having to much fun messing around with it gah :D
